Vasil Maglaperidze: GPB operations' audit yields favourable result for 2nd year running
The Chairman of the GPB Board of Trustees, Vasil Maglaperidze, deemed the external auditor’s report “one of the most important documents”, reflecting Public Broadcaster’s financial statements.
The audit of the GPB operations has yielded a favourable result for the second year running, said the Chairman, adding that Public Broadcaster performs “exceptionally well, raising the stakes.”
“It wasn’t always like this, and I won’t go into detail about other organisations, but for the second year in a row, the audit has concluded positively on the GPB work. The GPB will move into the new building in August and the question been asked continuously, often intentionally unfairly, will be responded to. It only gave us strength. At the end of August, everyone will see how rightly the money was spent,” Maglaperidze asserted.
The Chairman of the GPB Board of Trustees further stated that the current management “has set a new standard; the society does not and should not excuse going beyond that.”
“This is a new standard that will give the public broadcaster a fresh start. This is clearly a significant triumph for management, and to some extent, I will say without humility that we are also proud of the board of trustees,” he said.
