Varlam Liparteliani elected chairman of Georgian Dream youth organisation

Varlam Liparteliani has been elected chairman of the Georgian Dream youth organisation. At the congress, delegates unanimously elected Varlam Liparteliani as chairman of the Georgian Dream youth organisation.

According to the party press service, Varlam Liparteliani has replaced Giorgi Chakvetadze in the position of chairman of the Georgian Dream youth organisation, who had led the organisation since 2016.

As Liparteliani noted, the path to long-term success for any political force lies precisely through a development-oriented youth organisation.

“I salute the party chairman, the general and executive secretaries, the members of our team, and every person attending today’s congress. I salute the party’s political council and express great gratitude that they put forward my candidacy for the post of chairman of the Georgian Dream youth organisation. The trust that our team has shown me, along with a tremendous sense of responsibility, also gives me great motivation. Of course, I salute our youth organisation.

For our party, the youth focus is one of the main priorities, because the path to long-term success for any political force lies precisely through a strong, solid, active, and development-oriented youth organisation. I want to promise you that together we will implement many excellent projects, we will actively engage in discussing issues important to young people, in developing the agenda and in decision-making. We absolutely must start from a new page in thinking about improving our organisation; we must restore that tremendous energy and harness that most significant potential that every young person possesses.

Our goal is to attract even more young people to Georgian Dream and give them the opportunity to demonstrate their own abilities. Our great wish and goal is to establish once and for all in Georgia such a tradition where young people achieve success according to their own knowledge, dedication, and work done. When future generations will have the stimulus and will be convinced that the only path to advancement lies through labour and talent,” Liparteliani stated.

According to Liparteliani, the ruling force bears significant responsibility with regard to the proper upbringing and development of future generations.

“A better tomorrow for any country and people depends on the proper upbringing and development of future generations. In this regard, we as the country’s ruling force bear significant responsibility. We truly have the resources and capabilities to assist the younger generation more in their studies and sporting activities, to help people interested in the arts to find and navigate their own path. To assist students, young people of various professions, so that they can develop themselves and develop their own homeland. Along with all this, another of our goals is to ensure such an environment, such involvement in the policy-making process, which will give young people better and, most importantly, proper opportunities for relaxation and entertainment. All this is an inseparable part of our lives.

I’m certain each of you has often heard similar and even more beautiful words about how the development of youth life could look, how to address existing challenges and resolve problems in this direction. However, my sincere wish is, and I will do everything, to implement all this in practice and embed it in everyday life. In this process, I feel the support of our team, of countless young and experienced people, which gives me solid hope that together we will certainly be able to achieve our set goals. We will truly make the Georgian Dream youth organisation exemplary, we will help the youth of the whole country to live and develop properly and healthily, to be useful to themselves, their families, and their homeland,” Varlam Liparteliani stated.

The ruling party’s youth organisation congress was held at the Paragraph Hotel.
