US Embassy: We believe in Georgia’s European future!

“The United States will continue to work closely with Georgia in support of its EU trajectory. We believe in Georgia’s European future!,” reads the statement of the US Embassy in Georgia.

“Congratulations to all Georgians! Today’s recommendation is a tremendous step forward for Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration. The United States will continue to work closely with Georgia in support of its EU trajectory. We believe in Georgia’s European future!,” it said.

The European Commission (EC) will recommend the European Council to grant candidate status to Georgia, said Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, at the briefing jointly held with Olivér Várhelyi, European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement.

The European Council will make the final decision in December.
