UNM’s Tsitlidze urges to stop conspiracy theories and ego battles

“This is a shameful status, Elene. Stop spreading conspiracy theories and ego-battle nonsense,” writes Ani Tsitlidze, a member of the United National Movement, in response to Elene Khoshtaria’s Facebook post.

As Tsitlidze points out, “Elene’s day-and-a-half, confusing hunger strike did not benefit the opposition, yet we supported it.”

“This is a disgrace, Elene. I will not respond further. Wasn’t Nika Gilauri a member of the SSSG? And what about Ucha Mamatsashvili, Khabe (Levan Khabeishvili, UNM Political Council), or Burchuladze (civil activist)? Were they members of the State Security Service? Are you implying that now? By writing this status, you are insulting Tina (Tina Bokuchava, UNM Chair) and fabricating things she never said. Moreover, these claims have been repeated countless times over those dates. Stop these conspiracy theories and ego battles. With these public statuses, you are doing the SSSG’s work more as a useful idiot than as a genuine opponent.

This has been explained a hundred times, and Elene knows it. She is simply troubled by other egos and is projecting that frustration. Yes, any unrealistic promise or action is frivolous. Elene’s brief, confusing hunger strike did not benefit the opposition either, but we did not declare her an agent of the State Security Service. On the contrary, we supported her,” writes Ani Tsitlidze.
