UNM's Tsereteli: Georgia faces deep crisis leading to isolation, noticed by OSCE
“What is happening in Georgia, particularly in recent times following the elections, regarding human rights violations, political prisoners, autocratic, draconian laws, and other issues, has not gone unnoticed by the OSCE,” said Gigi Tsereteli, a member of the United National Movement.
He emphasised that the country is facing a very serious and profound crisis, which is effectively isolating Georgia from the international community.
“Initially, there was an attempt to adopt a more lenient approach, simply providing answers to questions, but this approach proved futile, and in fact, the situation has deteriorated. Currently, we are in the second, investigative stage, where experts will be engaged to assess what is truly happening in Georgia and to determine the consequences of this policy. Once again, this underscores the fact that we are facing a very serious and profound crisis, which is effectively isolating our country,” said Gigi Tsereteli.
