UNM's Pavlenishvili denies rumours that Levan Sanikidze will replace current UNM Chair Tina Bokuchava

Irakli Pavlenishvili, a member of the United National Movement party, has dismissed claims that Levan Sanikidze is set to replace Tina Bokuchava as chairman of the United National Movement, describing such reports as unfounded.

As Pavlenishvili explained, Tina Bokuchava will appear shortly and address this matter personally.

“Many rumours are circulating about the United National Movement. Of course, these are not true. As for Tina Bokuchava, you will see her very soon and will have the opportunity to ask her questions directly. She may even make an appearance today. This is a baseless rumour with no factual foundation, and the chairman herself will not leave you without a comment.

There are also speculations about internal conflicts within the party and accusations of infighting.

As for the situation, we all recognise that there is immense pressure on all political forces, not just the National Movement, which results in certain practical difficulties. When businessmen are intimidated, prevented from supporting opposition parties, and when there is no state funding, coupled with various forms of pressure, alongside numerous political prisoners, these are the true challenges we are confronting,” stated Irakli Pavlenishvili.
