UNM's Khabeishvili: GD Executive Secretary is Ivanishvili's puppet; threats against dissent are genuine
“Ivanishvili treats Mamuka Mdinaradze like a mere puppet, announcing decisions one day and reversing them the next. However, society must understand that the threat to ban not only opposition parties but also dissenting viewpoints is very real,” stated Levan Khabeishvili, Chairman of the Political Council of the United National Movement (UNM).
According to Khabeishvili, the GD Executive Secretary frequently alters his stance.
“The previous statement likely connected to the U.S.-adopted MEGOBARI Act and its subsequent cover-up. Now, we find that they have paraded Mamuka Mdinaradze forward to deliver a message that aligns with Ivanishvili’s agenda and the Russian regime. He is a toy in Ivanishvili’s hands, and he has shifted his position multiple times.
Society must recognize that the threat to suppress not only opposition parties but also alternative viewpoints is genuine. The Russian regime is actively pursuing this agenda,” he concluded.
