“No talks can be held of any elections and cannot be in this context. Critical opinion is stifled, laws have been adopted to cancel non-governmental organizations, opposition parties, and among them, opposition TV stations,” said Irakli Pavlenishvili, a member of the United National Movement (UNM) party.
The UNM member rules out participation in the elections by any political force.
“When the procedure for staffing the Central Election Commission and other directions are brought in line with democratic standards, in this case, of course, participation in the election process will make sense,” he said.
