UNM claims its chair met with EC President in Valencia

Tina Bokuchava, Chair of the United National Movement (UNM), met bilaterally with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Valencia, Spain, on the sidelines of the European People’s Party (EPP) Congress.

According to the UNM’s press service, the discussions centred on Georgia’s future prospects, security challenges, and the country’s integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions.

“The UNM Chair emphasized the importance of the prompt and unconditional release of Georgia’s third President, Mikheil Saakashvili, and addressed issues related to Georgia’s democratic development and the conduct of free, fair parliamentary elections,” the UNM stated.
