UNM Chair: What are we doing? Whether we fight or surrender to Russia, choice is ours

“The Russian nightmare called “Georgian Dream” knew that after the European Parliament’s most difficult resolution, an EU mission would arrive [in Georgia], which would reveal that on October 26, they conducted a Russian special operation against the Georgian people,” Tina Bokuchava, the leader of the “Unity – National Movement” coalition, wrote on her Facebook page.

“What are we doing?” Tina Bokuchava wrote, “Whether we fight or surrender to Russia, the choice is ours.”

Today, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced a decision not to place the issue of opening accession negotiations with the EU on the agenda until the end of 2028. “We will also reject any budgetary grants from the EU until that time. By the end of 2028, Georgia will be economically ready to initiate negotiations for EU membership in 2030.”
