UNM Chair: OSCE PA agenda should reflect int'l community and Georgian people's demands
Tina Bokuchava, Chair of the United National Movement (UNM), is set to attend the preparatory meeting for the annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA), the party’s press service reported.
The preparatory meeting will be held on February 20-21, while the annual session is scheduled for June.
“Emergency debates concerning Georgia will be held at the Assembly, addressing the deep political crisis instigated by Ivanishvili, the founder of the Georgian Dream party, resulting from manipulated elections and widespread repression. The agenda will include demands that unite both the international community and the Georgian people: free and fair parliamentary elections, the release of all political prisoners, and accountability for those responsible,” Bokuchava stated.
“It is crucial that the American delegation participates in this format. We have arranged bilateral meetings with delegation members to discuss the United States sanctions policy toward the Ivanishvili regime,” she added.
