Tina Bokuchava commented on information circulating in the media according to which Levan Sanikidze will replace her in the post of United National Movement chairperson.

According to Bokuchava, this is “yet another lie from the State Security Service.”

“It appears that Mdinaradze [SSSG Head] has been given the task of covering up today’s expected arrest of Garibashvili [former Prime Minister] with some other news. This is the only way I can explain the latest lie from the State Security Service, a figment of their imagination.

One thing I can say about Levan Sanikidze is that throughout my 13 years of political activity, one of the most important and proud decisions I have made was appointing him as Deputy Chairman of the United National Movement. I am convinced he will have a great future in Georgian politics, but not according to Mdinaradze’s gossip, agenda and calendar, but rather through his own worthy decisions.

Today’s excitement on Imedi TV, Rustavi 2, PostTV, and the propaganda channels over the information circulated as a result of Mdinaradze’s fantasy can only be explained by the fact that they are likely to arrest the twice-former Prime Minister and party leader today. This confirms that Georgian Dream faces not just technical issues, but deep, serious problems signalling their end, caused by corruption, violence, and the degeneration the country has endured over the past 13 years.

In my view, this lie and the product of Mdinaradze’s imagination is precisely an attempt to cover up this main story, which will presumably become known in a few hours,” declared Tina Bokuchava.
