“To finally defeat Ivanishvili, the founder and honorary chair of the Georgian Dream party, we must unite,” asserted Giorgi Vashadze, one of the leaders of the Unity-National Movement coalition, during the Reaction program on TV Pirveli.

Vashadze emphasized the necessity of substantial unity within the opposition.

“Partial unity will not be successful. All party representatives need to convene with Salome Zourabichvili, with whom I have not communicated for a month. I have spoken with her associates, and we maintain a common chat. I regularly urge her to gather and collaborate. People must exchange their viewpoints.

It is worth noting that establishing close communication with Giorgi Gakharia has proven impossible, and this is a reality. This individual appears unwilling to cooperate. Let society judge whether he is right or wrong. I believe his stance is misguided. We must unite under the belief that Georgia without Ivanishvili represents the salvation of our country.

Unfortunately, we do not see a willingness among the majority to overcome the barriers holding us back. However, we must act swiftly; otherwise, we risk losing the opportunity to defeat our opponent, who will undoubtedly exploit our divisions.

As to what has to be done. Salome Zourabichvili should publicly invite every political force to come together and form a unified platform, rather than suggesting the creation of new parties. While I would welcome anyone who can establish a new party and alter our circumstances, I remain sceptical about its success. Only unity can prevail, and the opposing side fears our collective strength,” he concluded.
