United Airports expects Georgia's international airports to serve 6.5 million passengers in 2024
Director of the United Airports of Georgia, Irakli Karkashadze, expects that Georgia’s international airports will serve over 6.5 million passengers in 2024.
According to Irakli Karkashadze, the passenger flow increased by 28% from January to July year-on-year. In 7 months of the year, the international airports served 4,047,097 passengers.
Karkashadze mentioned that the Georgian aviation industry consistently sets new monthly records, largely due to market diversification.
“This trend will continue in the future. In September, we will have news regarding airlines and new destinations. Accordingly, we are actively continuing the development of the Georgian aviation industry,” he said.
Tbilisi International Airport served 519,275 passengers in July, which makes an increase of 29% year-on-year, Batumi International Airport – 147,584 passengers (up by 48%), while Kutaisi International Airport – 921,030 passengers, which is a historic maximum.
