Ukrainian Armed Forces shoot down three Su-34 fighter-bombers

Ukrainian Armed Forces claim to have shot down three Su-34 fighter-bombers on Friday at once , the BBC reported.

The Russian military has still not officially commented on the claims of the Ukrainian authorities about the loss of three Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers at once.

On Friday, the commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Nikolai Oleshchuk said that at noon in the south of Ukraine three Su-34s were shot down.

President Vladimir Zelensky in his evening address clarified that the planes were shot down over the Kherson region, thanking the military.

Moscow did not comment on these statements, but military bloggers wrote about losses in the context of reports of the downed Su-34.

Analysts speculated that Patriot missiles were likely used. The Ukrainian Armed Forces neither confirmed nor denied this version.
