U.S. Embassy thanks Border Police for prevention of smuggling medical equipment
The U.S. Embassy in Georgia thanks Border Police for prevention of smuggling medical equipment out of Georgia.
“Battling COVID-19 requires many skills & talents! Today we salute our partners at the Border Police of Georgia who have been working to prevent smuggling of medical equipment out of Georgia, ensuring needed supplies are able to enter into the country and maintaining order at the border.
We’ve been proud to partner with Georgia over the years to strengthen inspection procedures, and the cooperation between the United States Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has resulted in nine fully modernized and refurbished border stations,” reads the Facebook post of the Embassy.
