The Embassy has implemented additional security measures as a precaution.  U.S. government personnel are instructed to exercise a higher level of personal security awareness,” reads the statement.

The Embassy calls on U.S. citizens for keeping a low profile, being aware of the surroundings,  staying alert in locations frequented by tourists,  reviewing personal security plans, having travel documents up to date and easily accessible.
