Georgian Judo Junior team won six gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the European Championships in Vantaa, Finland.
Members of the Georgian men’s team competed in five weight categories and won gold medals in all of them.
Giorgi Tutashvili (-66 kg), Tato Grigalashvili (-81 kg), Lasha Bekauri (-90 kg), Ilia Sulamanidze (-100 kg) and Gela Zaalishvili (+ 100 kg) gained Gold Medals. Eter Liparteliani won another Gold Medal and became the first European judo champion among the young women in the history of Georgian judo.
Vladimir Akhalkatsi earned a Silver Medal in the 81 kg weight category. Mariam Chanturia (-70 kg) and Mikhail Bekauri (-90 kg) became bronze medalists.
