Traffic restrictions on Rustaveli Avenue due to dismantling of New Year's illuminations

As the New Year’s illuminations are being dismantled, traffic along Rustaveli Avenue will be temporarily restricted from midnight to 6 a.m. on January 22.

Vehicles will still be able to travel via Leonidze, Ingorokva, Aleksandre Chavchavadze, Griboedov, Baratashvili, and Tabukashvili Streets. From Melikishvili Avenue to other streets in Mtatsminda, traffic will be diverted through Janashia, Tarkhnishvili, Tatishvili, Chovelidze, and Zandukeli Streets, then via Barnovi, Gogebashvili, and Dzmbebi Kakabadze Streets.

Access from other parts of the Mtatsminda district to Melikishvili Avenue and the vicinity of Rustaveli Metro Station will be possible via Griboedov, Makashvili, Barnovi, and Shanidze Streets. Movement within Freedom Square will be limited exclusively to the direction of Rustaveli Avenue.

Vehicles heading to Freedom Square from the area around Rustaveli Metro Station will travel along Rustaveli Avenue, turning at the Olive Tree, then via Mikheil Javakhishvili Street and along the right bank of the Mtkvari River.
