Teachers' salary to rise by 500 GEL on average, PM Garibashvili says
“We will continue working to enhance teacher working conditions. According to our decision, the Ministry of Education will receive half a billion GEL in 2024, with 160 million GEL going towards increasing teacher pay,” announced Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili during his speech at the National Teacher Award ceremony.
The PM said the Ministry would present its vision in due course.
“Under full workload conditions, teachers’ salaries will rise by an average of 500 GEL or more. The Education Ministry is working actively on this,” he continued.
Eleven Georgia teachers received the National Teacher Award this year.
