“Erekle Kodua, the former head of the Special Operative Department, was involved in racketeering to provide his family with motor vehicles,” asserted Tea Tsulukiani, Chair of the Interim Investigative Commission studying governmental activities from 2003 to 2012.

The commission examined evidence related to corruption among political officials and violations of individual property rights between 2003 and 2012.

Juansher Buzaladze, one of the Georgian citizens who came forward with his story, revealed: “The scheme involving Erekle Kodua, his son, and his ex-wife Nanuli Zhorzholiani, who refers to herself as Nanuka, was well-known. A verdict has already been issued in one of the cases presented to our commission. This case details how, by misusing his official duties, Erekle Kodua unlawfully seized and misappropriated at least two vehicles from an individual like you, registering them in his son’s name. Erekle Kodua engaged in racketeering to supply his family with motor cars. This victim filed a complaint, and there is now a judgment against Kodua,” Tsulukiani stated.
