The award ceremony honouring Tbilisi’s top sportsmen and women of 2025 took place, following a comprehensive survey among journalists to determine the year’s outstanding athletes.
Predictably, the best female athlete was world champion judoka Eter Liparteliani, who secured the World Championship title in 2025.
On the men’s side, fencer Sandro Bazadze also claimed the world championship and was named the best sportsman of the year.
The finest female para-athlete of 2025 is fencer Nino Tibilashvili, while the top male para-athlete is judoka Giorgi Kaldani.
