Tbilisi Trinity Cathedral hosts civil funeral for those missing in 1990s armed conflicts in Abkhazia
During a civil funeral at Tbilisi Trinity Cathedral, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili offered their condolences to the families of IDPs from occupied Abkhazia.
The ceremony honours those who went missing during the 1990s armed conflicts. Through collaboration between the State Minister’s Office and the International Committee of the Red Cross, 12 missing individuals, including ten military personnel and two civilians, were identified and returned to their families.
