Tbilisi Mayor vows to pay mini stadium rent for Paata Burchuladze
According to Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, Paata Burchuladze’s desire to hold an event at Dinamo Stadium is inappropriate for the Tbilisi City Hall, as the stadium in question is privately owned.
“Dinamo Arena has been transferred into private ownership, so what does the City Hall have to do with organising an event there? What surprised me even more was the suggestion that the Tbilisi City Hall should pay Paata Burchuladze money. I will pay him a rent fee, not for Dinamo but to rent a mini stadium,” Kaladze stated.
Paata Burchuladze, leader of the Rustaveli Avenue Movement, has appealed to the Tbilisi City Hall for reimbursement of the rent fee to be paid for Dinamo Stadium for the October 4 Congress. “Where do we have the money to cover stadium rental costs?” Burchuladze questioned.
