Paata Burchuladze urges Tbilisi City Hall to cover rental costs for October 4 Dinamo Stadium Congress
“Today, I visited City Hall and submitted an application requesting the use of Boris Paichadze Dinamo Stadium on October 4,” stated Paata Burchuladze, leader of the Rustaveli Avenue Movement, during an interview with PalitraNews.
The program host read aloud the public response from Tbilisi’s mayor, Kakha Kaladze, which stated that Dinamo Stadium is private property owned by businessman Roman Pipia and the Dinamo Club.
Burchuladze called on the city hall to cover the stadium rental costs, as he does not have the financial resources to do so himself.
“Then we need a formal petition—such a significant congress shouldn’t be left to the discretion of the stadium director. Something of national importance is happening. The city should step in and rent the stadium. We will appeal to City Hall to approach Roman Pipia and request coverage of the costs. Where do we have the funds to pay for stadium rentals? The city must take responsibility because this is a national congress that should benefit our country,” Burchuladze emphasised.
