Tbilisi Mayor says parking vehicles other than electric cars at charging devices is a law violation
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze called on citizens to use parking spaces specially equipped with electric car charging devices only for the appropriate purpose.
Kaladze said at the municipal government meeting that parking vehicles other than electric cars had become frequent, which was a law violation that would lead to a corresponding reaction. He warned that a relevant service would take the vehicles to a penalty parking lot.
Tbilisi Mayor remarked that caring about the environment and addressing air pollution still remained a challenge, though the Tbilisi City Hall had taken significant measures and arranged approximately 100 electric car charging places.
“I would like to ask Tbilisi residents to demonstrate responsibility and respect each other’s rights so that together we can care about making Tbilisi a cleaner, livelier and more eco-friendly city. Your support and engagement are crucial,” he stated.
