Tbilisi Mayor: Rustaveli Avenue to be one of most beautiful, well-maintained, and renovated avenues
“Rustaveli Avenue will become one of the finest, most beautifully maintained, and impeccably renovated avenues,” declared the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, during a live interview with the Night Courier on Rustavi 2 TV.
He explained that the rehabilitation project for the city’s main avenue is scheduled to commence in May and is expected to take approximately four months.
“We all cherish our beautiful capital, which certainly does not deserve to have Rustaveli Avenue in its current state.
A significant issue lies beneath the surface, underground communications, which pose serious challenges for the road and the buildings along the avenue. The infrastructure below ground is entirely outdated. The first step will be to upgrade this infrastructure, alongside improvements to the road surface. The next phase will involve the complete rehabilitation and renovation of the buildings and structures along the avenue.
Rustaveli Avenue will ultimately be one of the most beautiful, well-maintained, and thoroughly renovated streets in the city. The works will begin in May and are expected to last around four months,” emphasised the Tbilisi Mayor.
