Tbilisi Mayor proposes restrictions for larger vehicles during peak hours
The Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, has put forth a proposal to impose potential restrictions on specific vehicle categories within the capital to mitigate traffic congestion.
Kaladze stated, “Vehicles of M3, N2, and N3 categories may face limitations on movement within the administrative boundaries of Tbilisi Municipality during specific hours: from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.”
He added that the proposal aims to manage traffic more effectively by limiting the movement of larger vehicles during peak hours.
Kaladze further explained, “Certain exceptions will be made, particularly for essential public needs. Ongoing discussions with the construction sector are addressing their concerns, and efforts are underway to find a solution.”
