Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze addressed several important matters during today’s session of the Tbilisi Municipality Government.

Here are the main takeaways:

Mayor Kaladze emphasized the significance of the upcoming match for the national football team and urged unity and support. Plans were announced to set up big screens at Republic Square for fans to gather and enjoy the Georgia vs Luxembourg game together.

Kaladze informed about the completion of a soil retaining wall construction in the Vake district, in the vicinity of Uchaneishvili Street N2. This development ensures safety for residents and smooth vehicular movement, he stated.

Residents of the Didubi district were encouraged to register their cars in the zonal-hourly parking system to prevent parking-related issues. The mayor informed this system will be enforced on Tsereteli Avenue and surrounding streets starting April 1.

Moreover, Mayor Kaladze announced plans to add 12-meter buses to several routes and reduce waiting intervals starting from March 23, aiming to improve public transportation services in the city.

Mayor Kaladze reminded taxi drivers that permits for category A taxis issued last year must be activated by April 1. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of permits without the possibility of restoration.

Kaladze extended congratulations to media representatives on Georgian Journalism Day, recognizing their crucial role in keeping the public informed.

The mayor congratulated citizens on Novruz Bayram, a holiday celebrated by many in Tbilisi and across Georgia, highlighting the city’s multiculturalism.
