“The arrival of the New Year is always associated with special emotions. It is a celebration that brings together and unites the entire world as one, with common goals and wishes for peace on earth and more love in people’s hearts,” stated Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze in his New Year message.

As Kaladze notes, the New Year is the kindest celebration of all, a day of solidarity, support, helping the needy, and expressing warmth and love towards one another.

“On this day, the world becomes far kinder. Let us wish that this spirit be felt not only during the New Year days, but throughout the entire year in our city and throughout the whole country. May 2026 be filled with kindness!!!

Fellows, 2025 brought with it numerous challenges and difficulties, but also significant victories that provided us with opportunities for progress and development. Today, we can confidently affirm that Georgia has taken such strides forward that we shall never be pushed back.

Therefore, I wish to express my gratitude for the past year. I extend special thanks to those who trusted us, stood by our side, strengthened us, and demonstrated to everyone the immense power that resides in the will of a nation united by love for its country. There is no greater celebration than the success and victory of one’s homeland, for there is only one homeland, unique and irreplaceable.

Even these celebratory moments carry a profound responsibility towards the country’s future and its tomorrow. As we stand on the threshold of the New Year, let us wish for peace and stability, greater kindness and mutual respect, a caring society, progress and prosperity, and economically strong families…
