Tbilisi Mayor hopes Georgia to gain result so much expected by football fans

“I am sure Georgia will gain the result which has been so much expected for many years by the Georgian football fans,” said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, wishing good luck to the Georgian national football team in a match against Greece tonight.

Tbilisi Mayor remarked that First Republic Square will host a screening of the Georgia-Greece match from 7 p.m. at a specially arranged zone for “everyone to watch and follow the game” as many people were unable to purchase the tickets to attend the match.

“I would like to take this opportunity and wish good luck and victory to our boys. You know well how significant this match is, a big responsibility anticipated by the entire Georgia. Every millimetre, centimetre and meter should be won, and I am sure, with this spirit, we will win and gain the result that the fans in Georgia have longed for many years. Wish you good luck and victory,” he said.

Georgia will play the last match of the 2024 UEFA Euro Qualifying Playoffs against Greece on March 26 at Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena Stadium in Tbilisi. Tonight’s winner will win a ticket to the European Championships this summer in Germany.
