Tbilisi Mayor extends Christmas and New Year wishes, celebrates city’s resilience and bright future

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has congratulated residents on the approaching Christmas and New Year, extending heartfelt wishes for prosperity and happiness.

In a video message shared on social media, Kaladze reflected on the year 2025, acknowledging its challenges while highlighting the achievements that have made the city better.

“Today is December 31. The year 2025 has come to an end, a year marked by difficulties and contradictions. Yet, it also left us with a far better Tbilisi: a greener city, with improved infrastructure, more rehabilitated streets, and renovated squares and parks. It is a city that takes pride in its history, culture, and unique architecture, but its true strength and charm lie in its people, the residents who shape our city’s reality. Every project, reform, and decision implemented has aimed to enhance the well-being of Tbilisi’s inhabitants and create a dignified living environment,” Kaladze said.

The mayor expressed optimism for 2026, noting that the municipality is planning to undertake several major projects.

“I can confidently say that the work we have accomplished this year provides a solid foundation for making 2026 an even more successful year for Tbilisi. While we have achieved much, challenges remain. We are committed to serving Tbilisi selflessly, around the clock. The coming year promises to be even more exciting, with large-scale projects scheduled for phased implementation,” added Kakha Kaladze.
