“Education reform is both important and necessary, especially given the considerable criticism in this area over the past few years,” said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze in response to a media question about the ongoing education reform.

He underscored the significance of involving the Minister of Education and university representatives in this process.

“I welcome the Prime Minister’s initiative. Education reform remains of vital importance, particularly given the considerable criticism it has received recently. Dialogue is essential and irreplaceable. It is encouraging that the Minister of Education is engaging with university representatives. No question should be left unanswered. We aim to improve the education system, support the next generation, and assist young people. Teachers and university stakeholders must be involved in this process. It simply cannot happen without them,” Kaladze stated.
