Tbilisi Mayor: Conflict brewing in Europe is obvious; we are watching closely to see how events unfold
The Mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, believes that European bureaucracy is fundamentally bankrupt and has long held an unfair attitude towards Georgia.
Speaking to journalists today, Kakha Kaladze commented on a statement by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico regarding HRVP Kaja Kallas, emphasising that the internal divisions within the European Union are now unmistakable.
“Let’s wait and see. I think we all recognise the ongoing processes in Europe and across the world. European bureaucracy is in a state of complete collapse; the statements it makes and its attitude towards other countries clearly reflect that.
As for Georgia, we can say that we have endured unfair treatment for months, even years. Now, the internal processes within Europe, the interdependence that has become increasingly apparent, show that they are in confrontation with one another. We’re simply observing how events will unfold across Europe,” Kaladze stated.
For context, Slovak PM Robert Fico stated that the EU’s High Representative, Kaja Kallas, should resign.
