“I am delighted to be in our friendly Hungary with the delegation. It is an honour to speak at the Budapest International Conference, where the primary focus will be on issues of urban development in European cities. Later, I will meet with Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. In recent years, both Hungary and Georgia have openly addressed the global challenges posed by the ideology of pseudo-liberalism, which presents a significant threat and challenge. Naturally, this will also be a topic of discussion. I would like to thank the Hungarian authorities for their warm reception,” stated Kakha Kaladze.

Regarding the conference, the Mayor of Tbilisi stated that the Georgian side will review the reforms implemented in the capital over recent years, with the primary focus of discussion being the development of the public transport network.

“We shall speak generally about challenges, what we have accomplished in recent years in the capital. Particular attention will be devoted to the development of public transport and the comfort of travel. Many people use public transport during the day. Accordingly, it must be accessible, safe and comfortable. We have innovations in this direction; we have purchased new carriages, which will gradually arrive in the capital from 2026.
