Tbilisi hosts conference on ethnic diversity in Georgia, exploring historical roots and contemporary realities

A conference was held in Tbilisi on the subject of “Ethnic Diversity in Georgia: Historical Roots and Contemporary Realities,” focusing on interethnic relations and the challenges of civic integration.

According to the organisers, the event was attended by Georgian students from Tbilisi State University, alongside Armenians, Azerbaijanis, and representatives of other ethnic groups participating in the 1+4 programme.

Participants delivered presentations exploring the history, culture, traditions, and modern life of Georgia’s ethnic minorities.

The organisers noted that the event was part of a project implemented by the non-governmental organisation “New Generation for Progress,” with support from the Youth Agency. The initiative aims to enhance civic integration and improve educational opportunities for young people from ethnic minority communities.
