The Infrastructure Development Service of the Tbilisi City Hall will soon initiate rehabilitation works on a road section located within the Laguna Vere territory, spanning from Heroes’ Square to the Zviad Gamsakhurdia riverbank.

At a municipal government meeting, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced that the road will be widened, citing the need for improvement, particularly during rush hours, when traffic congestion becomes a significant issue.

“The project will enable us to alleviate the current traffic situation and ensure relatively free movement at this junction,” he stated.

As part of the project, LED light systems and new traffic lights will be installed, while pavements and pedestrian crossings will be arranged to enhance safety and convenience.

The Tbilisi Mayor noted that the project is expected to be completed within 2 months, with infrastructure works being carried out during night hours to minimize disruptions to traffic.
