“A new transport junction is being constructed at the intersection of Avto Varazi and Agaraki streets in the Vake district,” Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced at today’s municipal government meeting.

According to the Mayor, the project includes installation of dedicated passenger shelters for buses and minibuses.

“As part of the infrastructure projects undertaken by the Vake District Board, a transport hub is being arranged at the intersection of Avto Varazi and Agaraki streets. Road works are currently underway across an area of approximately 2,000 square metres, incorporating new pavements and fresh asphalt paving. In addition, the site plan provides for designated bus and minibus stops as well as an upgraded street lighting network. Carrying out these works was essential: residents had experienced considerable inconvenience, and we pledged to overhaul this area. Consequently, the project will be completed very shortly,” Kakha Kaladze stated.
