Tbilisi City Court imposes GEL 5,000 fine to actress Ana Tkebuchava, actor Bacho Kajaia

Tbilisi City Court’s Judge Nino Enukidze found actress Ana Tkebuchava and actor Bacho Kajaia guilty of violating the administrative law and fined them GEL 5,000.

The judge explained that Ana Tkebuchava and Bacho Kajaia had to pay the fine within 7 days, while they could complain against the decision in the Court of Appeals within 10 days.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs’ (MIA) representative did not attend the announcement of the decision.

Ana Tkebuchava and Bacho Kajaia testified that when they joined the rally on Rustaveli Avenue on January 9, the road was already blocked, as evidenced by video footage. They further provided a receipt from a café they were visiting at the time of the road closure.
