Tbilisi City Court has announced a decision in the case involving members of the opposition United National Movement party, Nika Melia, Zviad Kuprava, and Bacho Dolidze.
The judge imposed fines of GEL 2000 on each, classifying them as administrative offenders for charges of petty hooliganism and disobedience to a police officer’s legal request.
On September 22, the incident occurred in the Gldani district, where the UNM members clashed with law enforcement. Police arrested Nika Melia, Zviad Kuprava, and Bacho Dolidze during the confrontation. They were released from the courtroom on September 24. The defence plans to appeal the decision to the Court of Appeal.
