Tamar Oniani has been elected as a member of High Council of Justice. The 253 members of Conference of Judges supported Oniani’s candidacy.
Her rival Shalva Kakauridze received 20 votes. Oniani named miscommunication between members as the main problem facing the council.
One position in High Council of Georgia became vacant after Levan Tevzadze became Chairman of Criminal Affairs Chamber at Tbilisi Appeals Court.
