Nothing is decided yet about the Georgian Dream’s initiative. We cannot merely accept the zero-percent barrier – Tako Charkviani Leader of Law and Justice Party said when commenting on the statement made by the Georgian Dream leadership on initiating constitutional changes for holding fully proportional elections in 2020 with a zero-percent threshold.

The oppositional political parties held a meeting about the ruling team’s initiative earlier this afternoon. Consultations will continue on June 26.

The leadership of Georgian Dream initiated to make constitutional changes for holding fully proportional elections in 2020 with a zero-percent election threshold. Bidzina Ivanishvili, Chairman of Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia Party made the statement on June 24.
