According to the Swiss Embassy in Georgia, during his visit to Tbilisi, Cassis will hold bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili.
The high-level talks will focus on regional stability, bilateral relations, and addressing the ongoing consequences of the 2008 conflict in Georgia, a context in which Switzerland continues to exercise its protecting power mandate between Georgia and Russia.
Together with the United Nations and the European Union, the OSCE serves as a co-chair of the Geneva International Discussions, which aim to foster dialogue on critical security and humanitarian challenges in the region,” reads the Embassy’s announcement.
