Swedish Embassy in Georgia released a condolence statement over the July 29 tragedy in Gudauri that claimed lives of 8 people.
“The Embassy of Sweden in Georgia is deeply saddened by a tragic crash of a rescue helicopter in Gudauri and would like to express sincere condolences to the families and friends of the tragically deceased border guards, emergency management personnel, rescuers, and medical staff,” the Embassy tweeted.
A border police helicopter on a rescue operation in Gudauri crashed on July 29, killing eight people. The rescue helicopter, which had been called to assist paragliders fell into the ravine, lost control, and crashed in a ravine.
