Svaneti hosts Freeride World Tour

Tetnuldi Mount in Georgia’s Svaneti region is hosting the Freeride World Tour on February 22 organized by the Mountain Trails Agency (MTA), the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported.

Georgia won the right to host the Freeride World Tour for the second consecutive time by being named among six countries (Canada, France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria and Georgia.

Distinguished 50 riders including Wild Car holder Jaba Tskhediani will compete.

The International Ski and Snowboard Federation selected Tenuldi Resort of Georgia as the destination after the country successfully hosted the Tour in 2024 for the first time.

The Freeride World Tour covers 300 million spectators in total (100 TV, 200 Digital) and is significant for winter sports and tourism development.

The successful hosting of the tournament will make Georgia attractive as a tourism destination with vast potential to attract investors and is significant for the popularity of winter sports.
