Strong Georgia leaders celebrate at reception honouring Donald Trump's inauguration
Leaders of the Strong Georgia coalition participated in festive celebrations marking the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump.
According to the press service of Strong Georgia, Mamuka Khazaradze, Badri Japaridze, and Grigol Gegelia attended an inaugural reception at the invitation of Congressman Derrick Van Orden. During this event, they had the opportunity to meet Congressman Pat Harrigan and the Ambassadors from the Baltic States to the US.
The inaugural reception was hosted by Robert F. Kennedy, whom President-elect Donald Trump has selected to serve as the next Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.
“The event was also attended by Mehmet Oz, the Head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), who takes pride in his Georgian heritage, as his mother is Georgian.
The leaders of Strong Georgia began their visit to the US with a meeting with the Georgian Diaspora, where they connected with Joe Wilson, Chair of the Helsinki Commission, Senator Roger Wicker, and representatives of the new administration,” the party’s press service reported.
