Strong Georgia Coalition leaders hold meeting with Congressman Joe Wilson
Leaders of the Strong Georgia Coalition, including Mamuka Khazaradze, Badri Japaridze, and Grigol Gegelia, recently met with Congressman Joe Wilson, who chairs the Helsinki Commission and is the author of the MEGOBARI Act.
According to the press service of Strong Georgia, Mamuka Khazaradze presented Congressman Wilson with a joint document representing four opposition political unions and outlined the demands of the Georgian people.
“The idea that the new U.S. administration will recognize the Georgian Dream in any form following Trump’s inauguration is unrealistic and fundamentally misleading. It is an absurd and significant lie,” Khazaradze asserted.
“On the contrary, we received strong messages advocating for the Georgian people and emphasizing the urgent need for new, fair, and transparent elections to resolve the ongoing crisis and secure the release of political prisoners.”
“The Trump administration will steadfastly support the rightful demands of the Georgian people, and we anticipate this will become evident shortly,” Khazaradze added.
