Strategy Agmashenebeli: Few opposition MPs do not form multiparty parliament

The Strategy Agmashenebeli member Sergo Chikhladze believes if one or two opposition MPs join the parliament work, it will not turn it into a multiparty one.

“The ruling Georgian Dream party can carry on manipulation and political juggling, the opposition stands on its agenda. If negotiations were held, the opposition would show up with an unaltered proposal,” Chikhladze briefed reporters on Monday.

Chikhladze stressed that Strategy Agmashenebeli would not enter the parliament.

The opposition member also pointed out that Strategy Agmashenebeli was never disrespectful towards Georgia’s partners but grateful for their support.

He commented on the criticism of the Labour Party leader towards the US officials. In particular, the US Acting Assistant Secretary of State of European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker called on the opposition to enter parliament.

The Georgian Parliament of 10th Convocation kicked off a discussion on termination of opposition mandated on Monday.

The MPs have already approved the request of some members of the Alliance of Patriots.

Georgian opposition parties believe the 2020 parliamentary elections were a fraud.
