Strategy Aghmashenebeli says GD seeks to annul parties

“The U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee yesterday passed the MEGOBARI Act, which is a significant document for our country and people, clearly defining the reality we face,” said Giorgi Vashadze, the Strategy Aghmashenebeli leader.

According to Giorgi Vashadze, the MEGOBARI Act, on the one hand, seeks to assist the Georgian people in attracting investments, economic development, visa liberalization with the U.S., defence strengthening and support in trading relations but on the other hand, applying to measures against the forces, which undermine Georgia’s sovereignty and oppress people fighting for freedom.

“The MEGOBARI Act clearly separates deadlock for the Georgian Dream and its isolation and the Georgian people’s opportunity to gain protection together with the EU and the U.S.,” he said.

Giorgi Vashadze believes that Georgia is unprotected as never and the Russian regime could not do more harm than the ruling party by declaring patriots as adversaries, friends as enemies and now attempting to trial hero soldiers.

As for the intention to cancel political parties, Vashadze said that instead of “speaking about possible harm, the GD seeks to abolish parties.”

“How can their goal be compared with the cancellation of the country, undermining the sovereignty, and Georgia’s isolation? I want to appeal to these shabby individuals. Come and do it immediately. You are cancelled by international law. The Georgian Dream is unrecognized both inside and outside the country,” he said.
