“We need international pressure and internal resistance. These two work together efficiently,” said Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli party.

According to Vashadze, the violent regime should be fully isolated.

“Sanctions are just the beginning. The violent regime should be fully isolated. We held significant meetings with Georgia’s friends in Europe. They see the true face of the violent regime and are ready to take firm steps. Communication with partners is important for the country to have many friends. We need international pressure and internal resistance. These two work together efficiently.

British sanctions demonstrate that abusers will no longer be able to hide in Bermuda, the Virgin Islands, as a safe asylum. Our goal is that those who abused people are kept in isolation financially, politically and judicially. Georgia’s future must not be the hostage of a violent regime,” Vashadze stated.
